Skilable Gurus

  • Host and lead Skilable study sessions once a week for 12 weeks, helping learners collaborate, stay accountable, and master DevOps fundamentals together.
  • Organize a course cohort—a group of learners progressing through a course side by side. Act as a motivator, discussion starter, and peer guide for both new and upcoming courses.

Requires you to have a basic understanding of DevOps concepts and have completed a Skilable courses and/or Bootcamp(s)

Skilable Gurus lead study groups and course cohorts, helping learners collaborate and stay motivated.
Skilable Champions are experienced mentors who also represent Skilable at events, host community sessions, and offer career or technical guidance.

3. Do I need teaching experience to become a mentor?
No formal teaching experience is required! If you have solid communication skills, a good grasp of DevOps or Cloud fundamentals, and a passion for helping others learn — that’s exactly what we’re looking for.
4. How much time should I expect to commit?
Typically, Gurus host one session per week for 12 weeks, while Champions may dedicate extra time to events or mentoring activities. We’ll work with you to find a schedule that fits your availability.
5. Is the mentorship program paid?
Our mentorship program is primarily voluntary, but mentors receive exclusive benefits — including a complimentary Skilable PRO subscription, brand recognition, access to private events, and special rewards for active contribution.
6. How long does the mentorship term last?
Each term runs for about 12 weeks, after which mentors may renew, step up to Champion level, or take a break before the next cycle.

9. How do I track my impact as a mentor?

You’ll receive feedback from mentees, activity reports, and may be featured in our Mentor Spotlight for exceptional contribution. Your influence is measured by how many learners you inspire and support through their learning journey.

10. What kind of support does Skilable provide to mentors?

After completing your trial term successfully, you’ll be invited to become an official Skilable Mentor — unlocking continued access to perks, opportunities to lead advanced groups, and a chance to grow into a Skilable Champion.
